How We Started
Our Story
Serenity Home Care was founded right here in De Kalb, Mississippi by Gwen Hampton, who understands firsthand what it means to care for a loved one at home. She saw a need in our community — families struggling to find reliable, compassionate care for aging parents, veterans, and individuals with disabilities — and she answered that call.
What began as a commitment to serve our neighbors has grown into a trusted care agency serving families across Kemper, Neshoba, Lauderdale, Clarke, Newton, Jasper, Winston, Noxubee, Wayne, Jones, Leake, and Scott Counties. Every caregiver we hire shares our belief that exceptional care starts with a genuine human connection.

Gwen founded Serenity Home Care out of a deep personal calling to serve her community in De Kalb, Mississippi. She built Serenity from the ground up with one goal in mind — to give families across the region access to trustworthy, compassionate in-home care that treats every client like family.
Trinity Davis
Care Coordinator
Trinity is the heart of day-to-day client care at Serenity. She works closely with clients and their families to build personalized care plans, match the right caregivers, and ensure every person in our care receives the attention and support they deserve.
